Pleasantly surprised, given the Google Maps score. The fried chicken, truffle glass noodles, and galbi were insane - the black cod nearly as good. The kimchi fried rice and tartare also deserve a mention. Don’t get the uni toast (too saline, average bread; better uni at Rich Table), Mulhwe, or desserts. Pricey at about $100 per person all in, but worth it. That galbi was one of the most tender and flavorful meats I’ve had, and I’ve had plenty of high-grade wagyu. Ambience is rather underwhelming - better for a dinner with friends than a proper date or special occasion. Attire smart casual. Parking tricky. Will certainly be back for another round of noodles, galbi, and rice.

Nice experience overall! Good Korean fusion tapas - it’s not the strongest in traditional Korean flavors, but it still delivers a good vibe. The pork collar was tender, though I wish it had a bit more flavor. The toast was excellent - all the “cheating” ingredients packed into one delicious bite!

Bansang continues to impress every time I visit. The food and service just keep getting better, and you can really feel the care they put into curating their menu. Every dish is thoughtful and beautifully presented. Highly recommend trying their signature Mulhwe—refreshing, bold, and unlike anything else in the city. The crunchy potato pancake is perfectly crispy, and the savory mushroom pasta is rich and comforting. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently top-notch. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to. A must-try Korean fusion spot in SF!

Our first visit to this Korean food restaurant that bills itself as Tapas style restaurant. With menu divided between light tapas and heavy. We were 8 of us so focused on the large Tapas. The Gochjang Black Cod, Galili Ribeye, Jang cream Pasta, Radish kimchi fried rice. All of the dishes were good. We also had some of the other Tapas. Kaku Salad, Charred Broccoli. Will have to go back again to try more dishes

This place exceeded my expectations. The uni scallop, chicken wings and galbi are highly recommended. We will definitely be back. Portions are a bit small so come in big group and enjoy!

Food (5/5) Each plate was amazing. I especially liked the potato pancakes, uni toast, rice cakes with beef, and the Galbi steak. The meat was tender and juicy and well-seasoned. The rice crispy/syrup ice cream and matcha lava cake were great as well. Service (4.2/5) The wait time between plates were somewhat variable. First dish (quail eggs) came quickly, but there was some wait between other dishes. They also could’ve come quicker after giving us the bill. Also, since some dishes were a bit messy (eg, the potato pancakes with all its crispy toppings) it would’ve been nice if they could help wipe the tables between some dishes. Atmosphere (4.5) Pretty nice and elegant environment, overall. Spacious bathrooms. The section we were in were a bit echoey and loud, however (but it was better after the large parties had left).
